KOSRA was formed 42 years ago, in 1973, to promote and safeguard the interests of the ratepayers of Kenton on Sea. As stated in its Constitution, its main objective is:

“To watch over the interests of members regarding the activities of local government in respect of fixed property owned or occupied by them within the area of operation of the Association and in so doing to favorably influence for the benefit of its members the legislative, administrative and general activities of the municipal and provincial councils in whose area of jurisdiction such properties of members are situated.”

The list of “Portfolios” allocated to each member of the Committee is an indication of what the local government activities are that KOSRA watches over:

Simon Oliver Chairmanship role. Liaison with Ndlambe, Ward Committee and general PR role.
Doug Walters (Support from Johan Grobler): Secretarial and finance. Members’ roll maintenance.
Duncan Hendry Monitoring and review of Ndlambe’s finances and annual audit.
