Security update 06 December 2017

We would firstly like to take this opportunity to thank all those members who have contributed to the security fund, and continue doing so with monthly contributions. We apologise that when we first sent out this update we didn’t put in our bank details so we are resending the announcement with our bank details and a further request that you contribute to this fund.

We have been successful in reducing crime in our area in a way that residents and visitors feel secure without feeling the oppression of surrounded by security devises.  This has been achieved as a result of the Police, Hi-Tech Security and neighbourhood watch pro-actively working together to ensure that criminals are apprehended and prosecuted. We are very grateful to all involved.

We can't afford to be complacent!  Please always be vigilant while you enjoy your holiday.

We would like to continue to execute our original plan and procure some of the items originally budgeted for.

The fund is currently at R54K and will be used in the following way:

  • Guards for the Dec/Jan holiday season R140k
  • Guards for the Easer holiday season R60k
  • Hire of golf carts for student police for Dec. R30K

It is so important for all of us to support this. We need to build the fund up for December (and Easter) guarding and patrolling. The beaches, the events we host and the influx of visitors means we must be forever vigilant. So let’s all get behind the initiative and put some money into our bank account:

We need to raise over R150,000 for the December and Easter guarding services to ensure we can keep up the successes we have seen in the past!
