Dear Adv. Rolly Dumezweni,
Director NMombulelo Booysen Willie
Deputy Director Fanie Fouche.
We are pleased to announce that the Estuary Care Dune Group plans to formally submit the EcoCoast Dry Bones Valley dune rehabilitation plan to Ndlambe Municipality at a time and date convenient for the Municipality. This meeting invitation will be extended to the CES team of experts and Warren Lange.
During the meeting, we welcome discussion on the document. Since we have the benefit of comments and notes from the unofficial meeting of experts held recently, we will highlight the few areas where consensus has not yet been reached. Clear Terms of Reference will also need to be established for the next meeting.
For this initial meeting, we suggest it be held in the Municipal Conference Room to enable those unable to attend in person to connect online.
As soon as possible thereafter, a second meeting of experts and stakeholders will be called and held on-site. At this meeting, the outstanding matters will be discussed, and a final decision—hopefully achieving the consensus that has eluded us for years—will be reached.
As previously indicated, if an agreement can be reached, we would like it to be documented in a “social compact” between the community and the Municipality.
Best regards
Chester Wilmot
