KOSRA is well aware of the on-going and ever-escalating water crisis as a result of Amatola Water being unable to supply water adequately.

Current water levels in the reservoirs are below 20% and there major problems at the RO plants and Diaz boreholes.
Sand Dune Update
We are pleased to report that a meeting was held on 18 February 2021 with senior officials of Ndlambe regarding possible alternative solutions to the Kenton sand dune

Water Scarcity Looming this Festive Season
In preparation for the busy festive season, we encourage all residents and business owners to purchase and install water storage tanks if they haven’t already done so.
Some R72 traction at last
Since last year, KOSRA has written several letters to SANRAL (The South African Roads Agency Limited), expressing concern at the dangerous situation and the number of accidents and fatalities on the R72 in the Kenton/Boesmans/Marselle area.
Good news – especially for cyclists and pedestrians
KOSRA wrote to the consulting engineer employed by the Eastern Cape Provincial Roads Department, expressing concern about the bush and grass encroaching on the roadway on the R343 between Kenton and Salem.
