Middle beach wall update

by | Mar 24, 2020 | Blog, Water, Infrastructure and Maintenance | 3 comments

It appears that the Ndlambe Municipal Manager has been on annual leave so KOSRA’s letter (see Middle Beach post of 12 March) has been forwarded to the Acting Municipal Manager. No response has been forthcoming.

KOSRA is considering laying criminal charges plus demanding that the municipality claim damages from the MM for wasteful expenditure. Watch this space!

  1. WELL DONE GEORGE & KOSRA–THIS BLATANT DISREGARD FOR FOLLOWING THE CORRECT PROCESS IS NOTHING SHORT OF ARROGANCE & OUTRIGHT THEFT—CRIMINAL CHARGES / DAMAGES MOST APPROPRIATE–AN ALERT –NDLAMBE MUNICIPALITY & THE MUNICIPAL MANAGER HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN PROTRACTED LEGAL ISSUES WITH REGARD TO UNBRANDED/ ILLEGAL CATTLE ON THE ROAD WHERE NUMEROUS COURT ORDERS HAVE BEEN ISSUED AGAINST THE RESPONDENTS .EACH TIME THE COURT HAS AWARDED COSTS TO THE PLAINTIFF RESULTING IN THE RATEPAYERS IN EFFECT HAVING TO ABSORB THESE MOUNTING SIGNIFICANT LEGAL COSTS–WHEN IS THIS TOTAL DISREGARD FOR THE LAW & LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY GOING TO STOP ?

  2. A Criminal charge is supported, has much better consequences for the offenders and costs little vs litigation or arbitration.

  3. I absolutely agree with the above letter. I saw that pathetic attempt at building the so called sea wall and knew it would not last. I actually saw a University student running over the soil with no concern at the damage he was doing. How will those few rocks prevent the eroding of the beach and to put a little topsoil with kuku grass on top. Are those people really so foolish. Am an old woman and I could have done better. I sigh with frustration.
