Buzzer community safety app – stronger & safer together!

Hi-Tec Security Coastal and Hi-Tec Security are excited to announce the launch of the Buzzer App in our area!

Buzzer is a free app for you to use! The Buzzer App is a community safety tool built specifically for both community and private response, it has been used with fantastic success in and around Cape Town, and seriously reduced not only the crime rate, but also the ‘noise’ of WhatsApp groups.

Anyone and everyone in Kenton-on-Sea, Bushmans River and Grahamstown Makhanda! So please feel free to share it with friends, your family, your children, your employees! Even great for Nanny when she takes the kids to the park or for your Airbnb guests to feel safer.

Buzzer gives you a personal SOS button. All you have to do is hold down the SOS button in the app for 3 seconds (which prevents accidental activation) and the app automatically geolocates your position and activates a response. You don’t need to type anything or say anything! Within seconds our Control Room at Hi-Tec Security will contact you and our whole team of responders will be aware of the situation.

The SOS and Report features even work in most mountain areas, on beaches, in green belts and parks that have cell phone signals. Great for hikers, walkers and riders.

When SOS or Report is pushed other Buzzer members in the area get an alert and can choose to respond to incidents. This is a very powerful feature as it means those closest can respond very quickly. It means you can also choose to join in if you are available to do so. Crime and medical emergencies can be dealt with appropriately. And, with each extra person on the app, we get more response capability and more “eyes and ears”. Stronger and safer together!

When you are in another area that has Buzzer and you have a problem and call for help, you are connected to that area’s control room, response and neighbours, to get you help where and when you need it.

Plettenberg Bay, Bushmans River, Kenton-on-Sea, Grahamstown Makhanda and St Stithians in Gauteng.

Hout Bay, Llandudno, Bakoven, Camps Bay, Clifton, Bantry Bay, Fresnaye, Sea Point, Green Point, Gardens, Oranjezicht, Vredehoek, Devils Peak, Woodstock, Salt River, Observatory, Mowbray, Rosebank, Wynberg, Deurdrif, Plumstead, Diep River, Meadowridge, Oakridge, Bergvliet, Dreyersdal, Kreupelbosch, Heathfield, Constantia, Tokai, Kirstenhof, Zwaanswyk, Lakeside, Marina da Gama, Muizenberg, St James, Kalk Bay, Kommetjie, Noordhoek.

Please download the app on the link below and TEST it USING THE TEST BUTTON! You do this by clicking report and then choosing test (this way only we get the test and not all your neighbours). Feel free to test (using the test button) as many times as you like.
